Q: I’m a trainer and need to register another trainee. What do I do now?
A: Sign into your account. On the trainer’s homepage, there is a section labeled ‘Manage Trainees.’ There, you will find options to add individual trainees or entire groups.
Q: I watch the videos and take the tests each year. Why won’t my Safety Certificate update to the current year?
A: Due to technological limitations, the Safety Certificates only change to reflect your highest score.
For example, if a trainee earned a 98% in 2014 and a 94% in 2015, the Safety Certificate will only reflect the 2014 score.
To have your account updated manually to reflect the current year’s information, please contact a system administrator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: I know the American Ladder Institute creates standards for ladders, but can I also receive stickers, such as weight ratings?
A: Through its participation in the ANSI A14 committees, the American Ladder Institute does play a larger role in setting the safety norms of the ladder industry. However, the American Ladder Institute does not create, sell or maintain stock of any type of sticker. To replace a sticker on your ladder, please contact the manufacturer directly.
Q: I have been using ladders professionally for years. Do I really need to take this course?
A: Yes! Even veterans of ladder use can refresh their safety knowledge each year to ensure the safest work site. A Safety Certificate from the American Ladder Institute shows your employer and potential clients how much you value safety personally and professionally.
