According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the rate of worker deaths and reported injuries in the United States has decreased by more than 60 percent in the past four decades since the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act was passed. However, every year, more than 5,000 workers are killed on the job (a rate of 14 per day), and more than 3.6 million suffer a serious job-related injury or illness (Occupational Safety and Health Administration [OSHA]). ALI is committed to decreasing these numbers by increasing awareness about workplace hazards and partnering with organizations like OSHA to ensure as many people as possible are #SafeAndSoundAtWork. See the below PDF for ways you can ensure safety at work, and in the home, when it comes to ladders.

Tag us on social media - @American_Ladder on Twitter and @AmericanLadderInstitute on Facebook - or fill out this form and tell us how your organization is celebrating and we'll highlight your activities on social media and within August's Next Rung newsletter.
