National Ladder Safety Month is Coming Register employees for safety training; last call for sponsorships February 13, 2023—Each year, there are approximately 22,000 workplace injuries related to ladder misuse and hundreds of fatalities. National Ladder Safety Month, held every March, was created to raise awareness about this issue and to encourage employers and their workers to engage in annual ladder safety training. Spearheaded by the American Ladder Safety Institute (ALI), National Ladder Safety Month would not be possible without the support of its generous sponsors. And you could be one, too. National Ladder Safety Month offers multiple sponsorship levels, starting as low as $500. Each sponsorship tier has its own set of rights and benefits. Regardless of sponsorship level, you’ll be helping to raise awareness of ladder safety, decrease injuries and fatalities caused by ladder misuse, and increase the number of people certified in Ladder Safety Training. To become a sponsor, visit https://www.laddersafetymonth.com/About/Contact-Us. Employers are urged to register their employees for training ahead of National Ladder Safety Month, which can be done easily at www.laddersafetytraining.org. You’ll be prompted to select a ladder type, watch and learn, then take the test. Successful completion earns a Ladder Safety Certificate. Since the testing site was launched, 522,221 people have passed testing across all modules, 73,179 of whom received certificates in 2022, and 59,825 since last year’s Ladder Safety Month promotion. Helping to motivate this success are our sponsors. This year’s Middle Rung Sponsors are: International Masonry Institute, International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Werner Co., and Louisville Ladder. The First Rung Sponsor is Dorsey & Whitney LLP. About the American Ladder Institute Founded in 1947, the American Ladder Institute (ALI) is a not-for-profit trade association dedicated to promoting safe ladder use through ladder safety resources, safety training, and the development of ANSI ladder safety standards. ALI also represents the common business interests of its members who are comprised of the leading ladder and ladder component manufacturers in the United States, Mexico and Canada. National Ladder Safety Month, observed each March and spearheaded by ALI, is the only program dedicated exclusively to promoting ladder safety, at home and work. https://www.americanladderinstitute.org/. |
